King of Adarlan

My unpopular opinion is that I forgive the King of Adarlan. Not the Valg who possessed him and did terrible things but for the man who fought for his son, fought to protect magic wielders and fought for his own death to try to prevent the horrors that would befall Erilea.

Just imagine being possessed by a valg in your youth. Trying to fight it. Resisting for so long and having moments of clarity but only moments.and when you can finally see everything clearly it’s only before your death. He was free near the end. And to see that his son broke free of something he could not. Break free and live. I mean that’s pretty heart wrenching. Poor smol king of Ardarlan. Just got dealt the wrong cards. 💕
