Redesigned Book Covers: The Night Circus
You think, as you walk away from Le Cirque des Rêves and into the creeping dawn, that you felt more awake within the confines of the circus.
You are no longer quite certain which side of the fence is the dream.

The never-ending ache of love and sorrow. Perhaps in some other life I could have refused, could have torn my hair and screamed, and made him face his choice alone. But not in this one. He would sail to Troy and I would follow, even into death.
Reasons You Should Be Reading “The Twelve Kingdoms”:
In case you haven’t heard, I’ve created another booklr! "The Twelve Kingdoms” is a wonderful series woefully unknown on tumblr. I will be making posts and edits for the series as I read through it!
Normal high-schooler Yoko is whisked away to another world by Keiki, a mysterious man who claims she is the heir to the kingdom of Kei. Separated from Keiki by an enemy ruler, she is left only with a magical sword, a gem, and questions about her destiny as she struggles to survive the fight for a throne she never knew was hers.
Here are some AWESOME reasons for you to check out “The Twelve Kingdoms: Sea of Shadow”!!!
- Incredible world building
- Amazing story
- Character development!!
- Finding your voice and standing for what’s right no matter who you are or where you come from.
- Accepting your faults and doing what you can to overcome.
- Motherfucking Enki
- Sassy brat
- Motherfucking Shoryu
- Sassy asshole
- Greatest and most well-respected King in all of the Twelve Kingdoms
- Chills in brothels just ‘cause
- Basically a toned-down Helion?
- PHENOMENAL Ace representation
- Like seriously- ¾ of the characters are ace
- Maybe Aro too
- No romantic lead
- Seriously, none
- The main girl finds herself and grows stronger because of her friends, not because of a guy.
- She learns to love and respect herself, and only then does she succeed.
- Rakushun, the bi-species man-mouse.
- Giant ball of fluff and sunshine
- Also willing to call out bullshit and lay down some wisdom
I cannot recommend this book harder!! Maasdom fans will LOVE it!!!
There is also a show covering the first 3 books (mostly faithfully) if you don’t have time to read. The show is going back into production now that the series has ended.
I’ll be reading it this summer, hopefully!

I broke my book buying ban 😬
