I wanted to draw beautiful Aelin for a while now. But I hesitated to draw her on her own, I didn’t want to ruin her. But a part in Empire of Storms inspired me, though I changed it a little, so match my imagination.
Either way, hope you like her!

The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society

babes, I just watched this movie on Netflix and I am forever changed as a person.

You know how every person has that one movie/book that they watch over and over again, and you associate it with them forever? For my mom and all her siblings, that movie/book is The Princess Bride. They constantly quote it (it’s actually quite scary when they all get together, they could literally perform the movie on the spot), and so it’s definitely shaped the lens I view them through.

Well for me, that movie/book is The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society. Or at least, it will be from now on. This is MY STORY, y’all. I can’t recall any other movie that has gotten such a reaction out of me. It was beautiful, heart-wrenching, funny, insightful, romantic, and just everything I look for in a good story. (NOT TO MENTION THE INCREDIBLE CAST, OML!)

I am currently reading the book (which by the way is written as a series of letters, so cool!) and listening to the movie soundtrack at the same time. I’m just so in love, guys.

You can probably expect some art in the future. There’s one scene in particular that I just HAVE to recreate.
