I shoved everything else off my desk this summer to write the pilot for the Raven Cycle show (produced by Groundswell, in development for SyFy) and then slowly died because I could tell no one why I was locked in a tower with my laptop. FINALLY I CAN SAY IT.
“The Ghost was making good time, but even with the cool, clear day and three recovering Antari keeping wind in the sails, someone still had to chart a course, and for all his posturing, Kell Maresh didn’t know the first thing about steering ships, Holland could barely keep his food down, and Bard was a quick study but would always be a better thief than a sailor – not that he’d ever say so to her face.”
— I can basically hear Alucard’s train of thought during this “I have three entire Antari – and they’re all completely useless”.
I wish I was a “wow how did I get to 10k already haha damn” writer and not a “WHAT DO YOU MEAN THIS IS ONLY 3,000 WORDS? I HAVE BEEN WRITING FOR FOUR YEARS” writer ya feel

“Whatever you had to do to survive, whatever you did from spite or rage or selfishness … I don’t give a damn. You’re here—and you’re perfect. You always were, and you always will be.”
